Homebound Service

The Grey Highlands Public Library is pleased to extend an invitation to Homebound people in the municipality to take part in a new delivery service. The creation of this service has been made possible through funding from the Ontario Trillium Foundation.

This service is specifically for people in the municipality of Grey Highlands for whom travel to the library is not possible, due to health or mobility problems.

It is quite simple to register for this service. First of all, call your nearest library branch:

  • Flesherton (519-924-2241)
  • Kimberley (519-599-6990)
  • Walter Harris Memorial Branch in Markdale (519-986-3436)

A staff member will ask you for some information, such as where you live and what type of books you like to read.

If you need Large Print books or books on cassette or CD, these can be supplied as well! Arrangements will be made for a volunteer to visit you on a regular schedule to deliver and pick up books. It is library service brought home to you.
